This role involves managing the accounting team, developing financial strategies, and providing insights to support decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls. - Manage the accounting team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. - Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. - Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and provide insights for business growth. - Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy. - Monitor cash flow, manage financial risks, and optimize the organization's financial position. - Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, including the board of directors and executive team. - Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the organization's financial practices remain current and compliant. Qualifications: Required Education: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in an Automotive Dealership setting. - Proven experience in a leadership role, managing financial operations and teams. - Experience working in a corporate environment, preferably within the industry relevant to the company's operations. - Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. - Experience with accounting software and financial management systems. Required Skills and Abilities: - Must have CDK experience - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. - Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing staff. - High level of proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. - In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards. - Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve financial objectives and support strategic initiatives.
