Core Responsibilities Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly and accurately bagging customer purchases quickly, efficiently, and intact, while increasing customer loyalty by assisting all shoppers with courteous, pleasant, and patient service. Customer Service & Bagging: Promptly and efficiently greet, thank, and assist customers. Follow proper bagging procedures without forgetting or damaging items. Transport and load groceries into customer vehicles upon request. Front-End Operations: Replace, retrieve, or price-check items for Cashiers and customers. Help unload items onto check stand belts and restock bags, rice, dog food, and ice as needed. Store Maintenance & Sweeps: Retrieve shopping carts from parking and sidewalk areas, remove trash from carts, dispose of check stand trash, clean restrooms/break room, and perform regular floor sweeps or respond to "mess calls". Customer & Team Engagement: Greet, Help, and Thank all customers with "World Class Service" and a local touch—making eye contact, offering help, and personalizing the shopping experience. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Environment: Frequently work indoors in an air-conditioned building with high customer volume. Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather (hot, humid, rainy, vog) to retrieve carts, dispose of trash, or escort customers to their vehicles. Physical Effort: Continuously stand, reach, and handle items with good eye-hand coordination. Frequently bend, crouch, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs. Occasionally push/pull up to 150 lbs for cart retrieval or vehicle assistance, and pull up to 2,200 lbs on a pallet jack to refill supplies. Seldom climb ladders to stock/retrieve items. Safety Equipment: Continuously wear a back support belt when performing all job duties. Equipment Use: Frequently use reusable, plastic, and paper bags, and shopping carts. Qualifications: What You Bring Age Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age to use a case cutter. Must be at least 18 years of age to operate a trash baler or power-driven equipment. Skills & Knowledge: Basic math skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask under minimal supervision. Availability: General availability across 7 days a week including holidays, between 5:30 AM and 12:30 AM.
