WHAT YOU'LL DO In this role, you will: • Train- You will train both on the computer and hands on to perform preventive maintenance. • Repair — perform hands-on repairs to perform maintenance on chassis and body components following manufacturer specifications. • Maintain — conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to keep fleet vehicles operating safely and efficiently. • Document — accurately complete repair orders, warranty documentation, and labor operation records in accordance with manufacturer policies and procedures. • Inspect — perform thorough pre- and post-repair inspections to verify quality and safety of all work performed. • Collaborate — work alongside fellow technicians and service advisors to deliver timely, high-quality results for our customers. QUALIFICATIONS Required: • MUST have reliable Transportation and be able to show up everyday. • Be willing to get a Training Permit through the State of Michigan State Certifications Program in Heavy Duty Truck (WE WILL ASSIST). • Knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance, powertrains, and electrical systems. • Communication skills and attention to detail. • Good verbal, written, and computer skills. • Demonstrates good character and work ethic. • Ability to follow manufacturer's policies and procedures for labor operations, time, and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs. • Should possess some tools. We can assist in obtaining tools.. • Chauffeur's License required (CDL a plus). • Must be able to reliably commute to one of our Southeast Michigan locations — on-site position. Preferred (Nice to Have): • ASE, Navistar, or Cummins Certifications. • Previous dealership or fleet maintenance experience. • Familiarity with International Trucks diagnostic systems or platforms such as ServiceMaxx.
