Welders have the opportunity to advance to the next tier by developing the required skills, demonstrating proficiency, and meeting the qualifications outlined for that level. This opportunity is available on day or night shift.  Day shift: 6am-2:30pm, M-FNight shift: 2pm-12:30am, M-Th   Welder I - $31.94 Day shift - $34.81 Night Shift Ability to pass certification test when instructed Ability to weld small parts and simple weldments when instructed Safe operations of all welding equipment and proper use of all PPE Welding helmet, Safety glasses, Welding jacket and gloves Can weld using the GMAW process Utilize technology for processing jobs and communication Clocking, Inventory, Job Completion Assist in training employees in the work center with current knowledge base Mandatory overtime when business conditions require it Adherence to the attendance policy All other duties as required Welder II - $34.82 Day shift - $37.95 Night shift All duties required by Welder I The ability to weld medium to complex parts using fixtures and jigs Ability to read prints with little or no assistance Can diagnose and repair small weld/welder issues Can meet standards set by estimated times on workorders Ability to assist and give directions when necessary Welder III - $37.95 Day shift - $41.37 Night shift All duties required by Welder II Certified Welder for D1.1 Structural welding code steel and D1.3 Structural welding for sheet steel code Can weld complex parts with little or no assistance Excellent print reading skills. Ability to perform any welding process required (GMAW, GTAW, manual plasma cutter, oxyacetylene cutting Ability to set the bar on clocking times for other welders Ability to train new and upcoming welders and show them the quickest ways to be efficient Great communications skills Qualifications: Are you qualified? Experience: 2+ years of fabrication experience or training is preferred. Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading blueprints and using fixtures, jigs, clamps, and quality inspection tools is essential. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (100+ lbs.) and perform various physical tasks such as bending, stooping, sitting, walking, twisting, and standing. Professionalism: Conduct yourself in a professional, safe, and businesslike manner while maintaining a highly motivated, positive, and collaborative attitude. Reliability: Can make the daily commute to Chanhassen, MN and maintain good attendance.  Pre-employment Requirements: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, full panel drug screening, and physical work simulation.
