Summary: A HVAC Service Technician is responsible for setting up, repairing, diagnosis, trouble shooting and the maintenance of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for an organization or its customers.  The company provides opportunities for continual training and gaining additional experience in the industry.  Qualifications/Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for servicing and repairing all types of HVAC equipment Responsible for reading blueprints in order to diagnosis, troubleshoot, analyze and locate the malfunction on the HVAC Unit Be able to replace the defective or worn parts and then make any necessary adjustments Provide suggestions for increased energy efficiency and setting controls to determine that a system is working properly Install and / or assist in the installation of HVAC equipment when needed Responsible for meeting the customer’s needs and providing excellent positive customer service Responsible for meeting quarterly goals Skills & Experience: Minimum (2) years of service experience in the HVAC industry CFC/EPA Certificate required NATE Certified is preferred but not required Good driving record, with no more than 2 points on your license Good communication skills  used for both the customer and co-workers Self-motivated and be able to work under minimal supervision Willing to cross train themselves and others Take On-Call rotation Working Conditions: Driving a company vehicle.  This job operates in the field and you will be entering in the customers’ homes and or place of business.   Working in hot attics or cold places, must always provide an excellent and positive attitude toward the customer. While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions due to weather. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, pull, kneel, crouch or crawl. May need to be in restrictive spaces such as an attic or a crawl space.  May need to climb a latter to access the HVAC equipment on the roof.  The employee must occasionally pull, lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
