This role involves assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders, ensuring optimal respiratory function and patient comfort. Key Responsibilities: - Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures according to physician prescriptions. - Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatments as necessary. - Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity and analyzing blood samples to determine levels of oxygen and other gases. - Educate patients and families about respiratory therapy and proper use of equipment. - Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans and progress. - Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - Ensure all respiratory therapy equipment is properly maintained and functioning. - Stay updated with advancements in respiratory therapy practices and technologies. - Comply with all healthcare regulations and standards to ensure patient safety and quality care.Qualifications: Required Education: - Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field from an accredited program. - Certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Required Experience: - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting as a Respiratory Therapy Technician. - Experience in providing respiratory care to patients of all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults. - Proven track record of working effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
