Position Summary:  The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen by washing and organizing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment. This role ensures a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service while supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen team.  Key Responsibilities:  Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment to ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.  Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, flatware, and other cooking utensils.  Maintain proper levels of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor of any shortages.  Monitor dishwashing machine operation to ensure optimal performance and temperature for sanitation.  Ensure all dishware and equipment are free of food debris, streaks, and watermarks.  Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to return cleaned items promptly during service periods.  Organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and cookware in designated areas.  Remove trash and recycle regularly and in accordance with waste management policies.  Sweep and mop kitchen floors, as needed, to maintain a clean workspace.  Assist with kitchen prep or other cleaning duties as directed by the kitchen manager or chef.  Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.  Qualifications:  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands such as standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.  Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.  Basic knowledge of sanitation regulations and procedures (preferred but not required).  Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.  Work Environment:  This position involves exposure to hot water, chemicals, and heavy lifting.
