Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.67 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do: • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a utility location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies. • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. • Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site procedures. • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and notifying appropriate personnel. • Complete accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts. Minimum Requirements: • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred. • Experience with alarm panels is preferred. • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. • A guard card or license is preferred. • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
