Full description

Overview A family in Greenwich, CT is seeking an experienced, engaging, and proactive Spanish-speaking Nanny to care for their two daughters, ages 1 and 5. The family is hoping to find someone who genuinely loves working with children and who will be an active, engaged presence in their daughters' lives. Their ideal nanny will naturally take initiative, plan activities, get outside with the children, support their development, and keep the day moving without needing to be told what to do. Spanish is especially important to the family, as they would like their daughters to have consistent exposure to the language throughout the day. Mom is currently at home and is very involved with the children, so the nanny should be comfortable working alongside a hands-on parent and becoming a trusted extension of the family. Schedule: • Monday–Friday • 8:30am–6:00pm Notes: The family is looking for a nanny who will feel like a true extension of Mom and Dad. They want someone they can trust to walk out the door and know that the children are in capable hands. The right person will be naturally attentive, someone who notices when the children need something, recognizes potential safety concerns, keeps the children's spaces tidy, and takes care of the little things without waiting to be asked. They are looking for someone who will bring ideas to the table rather than relying on Mom to plan the children's days. Spanish is a major priority for the family. Their youngest has been exposed to Spanish from the beginning, and they would love for the nanny to speak primarily Spanish with both children and help their older daughter continue building her language skills. The family values quality, trust, and longevity. They are hoping to find someone who will become an important and consistent part of their family for years to come as they hope to continue to grow their family in the future. Responsibilities • Providing attentive, engaging care for both children • Planning and participating in age-appropriate activities • Taking the children outside regularly • Attending music classes, activities, playdates, and other outings • Supporting the children's development and learning • Speaking Spanish with the children throughout the day • Helping the older daughter continue developing her Spanish language skills • Preparing meals and snacks for the children • Dinner preparation for the children • Cleaning up after the children and maintaining their play areas • Being attentive to the children's safety and surroundings • Communicating with Mom about the children's routines, needs, and activities • Stepping in confidently when something needs to be handled rather than waiting for direction Qualifications • Early Childhood Education background is a strong plus • Naturally proactive, energetic, and engaged • Genuine love of working with children • Warm, nurturing, and patient • Someone who sees themselves as a true childcare professional rather than a babysitter • Experience with multiple children is preferred Requirements • Fluent Spanish required • Comfortable working in a home with two small dogs • Must be comfortable taking the children on outings and participating in activities • Must be willing to speak Spanish consistently with the children • Professional and trustworthy • Able to drive Salary and Benefits • $35–$40/hour DOE • PTO, Sick days, Holidays • Private basement space includes a bedroom, bathroom, laundry, and kitchenette if relocation is temporarily needed • Long-term opportunity
