Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview Provides electrical engineering, technical, and process engineering support for facility and melting operations. Responsibilities • Reviews engineering logs, production performance, and data to troubleshoot operational questions and problems. • Provides electrical and automation repairs and improvements. • Design level understanding of Low, Medium, and High Voltage control and distribution. • Responsible for documentation such as print updates, procedures, maintenance reports, etc. • Makes improvements by modifying automation, electrical and mechanical systems as well as recommending changes to the process. • Provides engineering design, changes, implementation, and capital projects. • Act as a technical resource for operators regarding operation and functionality of equipment. • Plan and execute maintenance down periods. Qualifications Required: • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline • Strong project management skills • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products • Good understanding of closed loop control systems • Maintenance experience preferred · Proficient in automation, AC drives, process controls, Siemens PLCs and software is a plus. • Ability to prioritize multiple projects to ensure timeliness.
