Overview Fasman Yeshiva High School is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated High School Jewish History teacher to join our team. Responsibilities Job Responsibilities: • Teach and plan lessons for Jewish History courses for high school students. • Develop and implement engaging and interactive classroom activities and assessments to support student learning. • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including those with lower academic ability. • Use assessment data to inform and adjust teaching practices, set individual student goals, and provide targeted support. • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities. • Provide support and guidance to students outside of class as needed. • Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that encourages risk-taking and promotes student engagement and success. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement. Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities • Maintains expertise in subject matter through professional development. • Excellence in classroom management techniques • Ability to maintain confidentiality. • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members. • Strong passion for teaching & commitment to student learning & development • Committed to curriculum design and growth. Education and Training: • Bachelor's degree in History or a related field preferred • Master's Degree Preferred • Strong knowledge of Jewish History • Ability to differentiate instruction and design engaging lessons for all levels and abilities • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds at times.
