Operations Manager Location: Hybrid, Portland, OR (4 days on-site per week) | Salary: $105K to $135K + Benefits WHO WE ARE Altitude Aerospace delivers engineering and certification solutions for commercial and VIP aircraft programs worldwide. With FAA DER, EASA DOA, and TCCA DAO approvals, we support customers from concept through certification and in-service. Our 150+ person team across the US, Canada, and France works on programs for major OEMs and completion centers globally. We offer 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, SIMPLE IRA retirement plan, paid vacation and PTO, and 8 paid holidays. THE ROLE You'll keep operations running smoothly across programs, contracts, and internal systems. That means making sure what we promised customers matches what we're tracking internally, improving how information flows between teams, and strengthening the processes that run the business. This role reports to the CEO and works closely with PMO, Engineering, HR, and Procurement. WHAT YOU’LL DO Programs & Contracts • Track program status, hours, and risks with PMO. • Review POs against contracts; flag and resolve mismatches with customers. • Keep contract documentation and change tracking current. • Help resolve customer issues related to delivery or documentation. Internal Systems & Processes • Improve how we use SharePoint, Monday.com, Teams, and other tools. • Support rollout of new systems (payroll vendor, HR tools, document management). • Standardize processes as the company grows. • Make sure the right people get the information they need on time. Reporting & Coordination • Give the CEO clear operational updates and flag risks early. • Keep timekeeping and documentation consistent. • Coordinate across PMO, Engineering, HR, and Procurement. • Oversee billing accuracy and project profitability, and make sure bill rates and margins are correct. • Coordinate with the bookkeeper on AP/AR: review and flag issues, while the bookkeeper handles transactions. Impact: Your work keeps what we promise customers aligned with what we track internally, so the CEO and program teams can make decisions with accurate, current information. WHAT YOU BRING Required • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience. • 4+ years of experience in operations, program coordination, or contract administration. • Ability to read and interpret contracts and POs. • Strong organization and follow through. • Clear communication across teams and with customers. • Comfort building structure and process in a growing company. • Proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, and Teams. Preferred • Aerospace or project-based engineering environment experience. WHY ALTITUDE • Real Impact: Your work directly affects how programs run and how teams function. • Growth Stage: We're building infrastructure as we scale, so you'll shape processes rather than inherit established ones. • Leadership Visibility: Direct reporting to the CEO with real input on operational decisions. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT • Hybrid role in the Portland, OR metro area, on-site 4 days per week • Background check required • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Some Altitude Aerospace projects are subject to U.S. export control laws (ITAR/EAR) and may require U.S. person eligibility Altitude Aerospace is an equal opportunity employer.
