With offices in Germany, Spain, the Philippines, Sweden and the United States, we offer a truly international environment where collaboration and innovation drive our success. As part of our growing Detroit team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, expand your technical and leadership skills, and contribute to a culture where your ideas and growth are valued. Please note that this position is a hybrid role, with three days per week required in our downtown Detroit office. What can you expect? As a Systems Engineering Consultant, you will take a leading role in delivering innovative engineering solutions for clients in the automotive and technology industries, ensuring seamless integration of hardware, software, and system-level requirements. • Lead systems engineering activities throughout the development lifecycle, including requirements management, system architecture, verification and validation planning, and safety analysis. • Take ownership of complex engineering work packages, ensuring technical quality, timely delivery, and alignment with client expectations. • Perform and guide root cause analysis, failure mode analysis, and system-level assessments for complex automotive and technology systems. • Define, implement, and optimize engineering processes, methods, and tools in alignment with ASPICE standards and industry best practices. • Act as a key technical point of contact for clients, facilitating workshops, presenting technical recommendations, and managing project-related discussions. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify technical challenges, develop solutions, and drive continuous improvement. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and consultants, supporting their professional development. • Contribute to INVENSITY's technical expertise and knowledge sharing through internal initiatives and Academy trainings. Your profile • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred). • 5–7 years of professional experience in systems engineering, preferably within the automotive industry or a similarly complex, technology-driven environment. • Strong hands-on experience in requirements engineering, system architecture, and systems development processes. • Proven experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or equivalent solutions. • Solid understanding of ASPICE standards and their practical application in engineering projects. • Experience with safety and reliability analysis methods, including FMEA, FTA, and DFA. • Familiarity with MathWorks tools (MATLAB/Simulink) is a plus. • Demonstrated ability to independently manage technical workstreams, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver engineering solutions. • Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence interacting directly with clients and senior technical stakeholders. • Experience mentoring junior engineers or providing technical leadership within project teams. • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset, combined with a proactive approach and strong sense of ownership. • Ability to thrive in an international, collaborative consulting environment. What are your benefits? • Hybrid Model: Optional hybrid work schedule with 2 remote days per week. • Paid Time Off: Includes vacation, personal/sick days, parental leave, and company holidays. • Retirement Plans: Access to company-sponsored retirement plan options. • Health Benefits: Eligibility for medical, dental, and vision coverage. • Income Protection: Company-sponsored short and long term disability insurance. • Compensation Incentives: Opportunity to earn goal-based bonuses after six months of employment. • Professional Development: Monthly INVENSITY Academy trainings and certification reimbursement opportunities. • Collaborative Work Environment: Be part of a rapidly growing Detroit office focused on maintaining a strong, supportive culture through professional mentorship, structured feedback, and regular team events.
