Full description
Do you light up a room? Bring that energy to our residents.
Providence Place Senior Living is hiring a full-time Activities Associate for our Collegeville assisted living campus. You'll help build — and lead — a calendar of programs and events that keeps residents independent, active, and feeling a real sense of accomplishment: games, exercise, music, outings, and community projects. If you're energetic, creative, and genuinely good at getting people to say "yes, I'll join," you'll love this work.
What you'll do
• Help create, plan, and lead a well-balanced calendar of activities for residents of all care levels
• Get everyone involved: learn what motivates each resident, encourage participation, and support residents who want to lead activities themselves
• Keep residents active, mentally and physically — Dakim Brain Fitness, the Biodex exercise bike, games, events, and more
• Transport and accompany residents on outings and community projects in company vehicles, including our passenger bus
• Serve food, drinks, and snacks during activities — hospitality is part of the fun
• Keep it all running behind the scenes: activities software and TV calendars, daily calendar postings, sign-up sheets, and volunteer information
• Partner with every department on campus to make programs a team effort
Schedule
Full-time, 8:30am–5:00pm. Must be able to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
What you bring
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no major violations (you'll drive residents on outings)
• Energetic, personable, enthusiastic, creative, and imaginative — you genuinely enjoy being around people
• A great communicator and listener, with effective spoken and written language skills
• Understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of aging, and a talent for motivating others
• Self-motivating and comfortable with computers (you'll use our activities software)
• Comfortable on your feet and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Prior experience in group socialization or recreation programs is a plus, but not required
Pay & benefits
$17.00–$18.00/hour, plus full-time benefits: outstanding health insurance, dental, and vision, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, your birthday as a holiday, and more.
