Veterinary Assistant – Cardiology Full-Time | SAGE Veterinary Centers – San Francisco, CA $2,500 Sign-On Bonus $28.00-$36.00/hr (DOE) SAGE San Francisco is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Cardiology team. You'll work alongside specialty veterinary professionals caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions while gaining hands-on experience with advanced cardiac diagnostics and specialty medicine. In Your Day-to-Day, You Will • Assist with Cardiology appointments, patient intake, medical histories, and patient care. • Support cardiac diagnostics including ECGs, blood pressure measurements, radiographs, echocardiograms, and Holter monitoring. • Perform venipuncture, assist with IV catheter placement, and prepare laboratory samples. • Safely restrain, position, and monitor patients during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. • Prepare equipment, supplies, and treatment areas for Cardiology procedures. • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate with clients regarding patient care. • Collaborate with Cardiology, Emergency, and Specialty teams to provide exceptional patient care. What You Bring • Two or more years of hands-on veterinary clinical experience strongly preferred. • Cardiology, Specialty, Emergency, or Internal Medicine experience is a plus but not required. • Strong animal handling, restraint, venipuncture, and patient monitoring skills. • Experience with ECG, blood pressure monitoring, radiographs, or other cardiac diagnostics is a plus. • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative specialty hospital. • California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) required within 60 days of hire, if applicable.
