The successful applicants will be trained to operate a boom truck, welding truck, forklift and other support equipment. 3-month positions (May 2027 through August 2027) 8-month positions (May 2027 through December 2027) Job Description: Duties / Tasks: Duties at the surface coal mine will be wide and varied, based on needs of the operation. These duties may include all or some of the following: • Assist with troubleshooting, routine maintenance and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. • Perform preventative maintenance on draglines, coal shovels and facilities. • Read and understand blueprints with the ability to assemble and fabricate parts from them. • Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures, and state and federal environmental regulations. • Other duties as assigned. NOTE: This position requires working rotating shifts. The role involves approximately 50% indoor work and 50% outdoor work.
