The successful applicant should have a working knowledge of AC and DC circuits, electrical controls, and troubleshooting with and understanding of electrical schematics. 3-month positions (May 2027 through August 2027) 15-month positions (May 2027 through August 2028) Job Description: Duties / Tasks: Duties at the surface coal mine will be wide and varied, based on needs of the operation. These duties may include all or some of the following: • Repair electrical mining equipment and facilities. • Assist with electrical inspections on mine equipment. • Work with different voltage electrical systems. • Troubleshoot motor control circuits, PLC, and digital drive control systems. • Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures, and state and federal environmental regulations. • Other duties as assigned. NOTE: This position requires working rotating shifts. The role involves approximately 20% indoor work and 80% outdoor work.
