Under limited supervision of a Nursing Director/Associate or Nurse Supervisor, provides nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled incarcerated individuals. Provides clinical direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses and direct care staff, provides direct patient nursing care and treatment within the scope of licensure in a correctional setting. Performs patient care in a clinic or hospital setting. Administer medications, transcribe and carry out doctor's orders, assess patients utilizing protocols, triage. Assist in moving patients. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: A current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in assigning, reviewing, leading, or supervising the work of others. Other: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
