Complies with standard practices and regulatory guidelines to assure food is high quality and prepared in a safe manner. Shriners Spokane is looking for a PRN Cook to join the team! Key Responsibilities: • Operates all kitchen equipment correctly and trains others as needed. • Ensures that food is ready at specified times. • Ensures that patient allergies, diet orders and preferences are followed, obtains clarification from dietitian if needed. • Maintains a clean and organized kitchen and work spaces. • Complies with food safety and sanitation guidelines. • Maintains accurate records including patient meal counts, temperatures, and food amounts prepared, food leftover. • Operates cash register proficiently. Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED • Washington State Food Workers Permit Preferred Qualifications: • Culinary School graduate • ServSafe Food Safety Certificate • 3 years Institutional Cooking • 1 year Food Service The pay range for this position is $17.13-$23.75/hourly. 
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
