Employment Type: Full Time Location: Valencia, CA Reports to: Chief Estimator Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt The position of Estimator lies within our Estimating Department and plays a critical support role in the business development of our Landscape Construction business. Experience/Training • High School Diploma or GED • 2-5 years of experience within the construction field or equivalent field experience • Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings • Ability to gather, calculate, and compile takeoff data for bid use • Effective oral and written communication skills • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel • Ability to prioritize and multi-task Responsibilities • Review plans, general conditions, schedules, scopes of work, site logistics and other exhibits • Prepare organized and complete takeoffs • Request and obtain quotes for all scope from multiple vendors and sub-contractors • Enters takeoff information and quotes into estimating software • Analyze alternate means and methods to determine value engineering suggestions • Draft proposal documents Additional Skills • Knowledge of plants and irrigation systems • Proficient with On-Screen Takeoff software • Construction management background or higher education on is a bonus Contact: Jason Strauss [email protected] 28042 Avenue Stanford, Unit E, Valencia, CA 91355 Phone 661.295.7228 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $48,000 - $58,000 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday • Work Location: In person
