Description Our maintenance tech scholar will get hands-on experience in industrial maintenance while working alongside experienced technicians in a manufacturing environment. You'll assist with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs while building skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. - Pay: $20/hour - Additional benefits: Fitesa will cover the full cost of tuition and books while enrolled in an accredited technical program. Requirements • - High school diploma or GED equivalency • - Currently pursuing a technical degree • - Ability to work ~20 hours/week What you will do: • - Learn maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines • - Shadow reactive techs as they provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service • - Learn to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service • - Shadow reactive techs while they diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. • - Shadow preventative maintenance techs while they perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities • - Learn to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties • - Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Physical Requirements: • - Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs • - Stand and walk for extended periods • - Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment • - Work around varying temperatures • - Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus Additional Information: Fitesa offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
