Job Details: Job Location: Main Campus - Las Vegas NM - Las Vegas , NM, Position Type: Full Time -Reg, Education Level: High School or GED, Salary Range: $15.15Hourly, Job Category: Staff, SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment for assigned areas. This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement upon completion of probationary period.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Wash windows, restrooms and kitchenettes, employee lounges, porches, entryways, walls, doors, and windows as needed. Vacuums, sweeps, and empties trash receptacles.  Cleans fixtures, blinds, pictures, shelves, drapes and ashtrays.  Wash windows, restrooms and kitchenettes, employee lounges, porches, entryways, walls, doors, and windows as needed.  Move furniture.  Refills toilet supplies in restrooms and hand sanitizer units as needed.  Shampoo carpets, strips and waxes floors, as required.  Shovels snow in entryways as required.  Mop floors on a regular basis.  Serves on an on-call list to assist with emergency cleanups.  Maintain regular attendance.  Perform other job-related duties as assigned.  Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  EDUCATION: High School Diploma .  EXPERIENCE: None.    EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:  Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, odd hours, and emergency calls.  Must be able to speak and write in English.    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:   Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instruction.  Knowledge in properly handling hazardous chemicals and materials.  Knowledge in proper cleaning techniques.  Ability to use a ladder and operate cleaning equipment (burnishes, buffers, etc.).  Knowledge of safety procedures.  Ability to read and write effectively.    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Lifting 0 to 50 pounds – Frequently  Lifting greater than fifty (50) pounds – Occasionally  Standing – Frequently  Walking – Frequently  Bending – Frequently  Squatting – Frequently  Climbing – Frequently  Kneeling – Frequently    WORK ENVIRONMENT:  May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and materials.  Work in dirty/dusty conditions – Frequently  Work in noisy conditions – Occasionally  Work around fumes and odors – Frequently  Work in wet and humid environments – Occasionally  Work in poorly lit areas – Occasionally  Work on elevated heights – Occasionally
