Full description

Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician Jacksonville, FL | Smart Care You’ve built the skills. We’re ready to pay for them. Smart Care is hiring a Service Technician in Jacksonville to troubleshoot and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, and other foodservice equipment. We’re willing to pay top dollar for proven talent—technicians who can diagnose the problem, make a dependable repair, and earn the customer’s confidence. If you know your way around commercial equipment and want your experience reflected in your paycheck, let’s talk. What You’ll Do • Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment at restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and other commercial facilities. • Perform preventive maintenance to help customers avoid equipment failures and costly downtime. • Use wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues. • Explain what’s wrong, what needs to be repaired, and how customers can keep their equipment running reliably. • Manage your daily service assignments independently, complete accurate service records, and communicate with customers and your service team. • Participate in an emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends, with occasional overnight travel as assigned. • Follow safe work practices while working around electricity, gas, steam, hot surfaces, and moving equipment. What You Bring • Hands-on troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and pride in doing the job right. • At least one year of technical experience in commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, appliance repair, or a related military technical role. • The ability to read diagrams and schematics and work independently. • A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. • A high school diploma or equivalent. Experience repairing commercial cooking, refrigeration, or warewashing equipment is especially valuable. Relevant technical training and certifications, including EPA or CFESA, are preferred. What You’ll Get • Top-dollar pay for proven skills and experience. • Quarterly bonus opportunities based on efficiency and productivity goals. • A company service vehicle, fuel card, computer, and cell phone for business use. • On-the-job training, ongoing technical development, and opportunities to earn advanced certifications. • A comprehensive benefits program, including a 401(k), pension, and paid time off, with eligibility beginning on your start date. • Independence in the field, with support from your service team. • Opportunities to advance into senior technician and management roles. Physical & Work Requirements This is a hands-on field service position requiring frequent kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching, plus occasional lifting and carrying of up to 70 pounds. Work may involve ladders, rooftops, and occasionally elevated or precarious locations. Technicians work around moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam, open flames, hot surfaces, liquids, and electrical hazards, including in damp, humid, or freezing conditions. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position. Bring your experience. Let’s talk about what it’s worth. About Smart Care Smart Care is a national repair and service provider for commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment. Our offering of comprehensive mechanical services includes hot side cooking equipment, stand-alone refrigeration, specialty coffee and beverage, complex rack refrigeration and HVAC.
