Job Details: Job Location: IDAHO FALLS - IDAHO FALLS, ID, Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00Hourly, As an Equipment Operator in the Digital department, your role will be to run digital equipment the is producing a print product that meets the customers specifications and expectations.  For a large amount of our customer orders, the process begins a preflight function and starts in the digital department.  This is the front end of our workflow and prints a large variety of products. We have a number of digital presses that this role will be crossed trained on so they can move around to match customer volume.   This role is specifically on the second shift, working 2pm to 9pm Monday through Friday.  The 2nd shift will be a critical time to ensure we get time sensetive jobs completed by end of day and to get a start on jobs due the next day.   Organization Core Values Humanity – People, Respect, Teamwork, Community, Kindness Excellence – Quality Work, Integrity, Responsibility, Accountability, Exceptional Curiosity – Learning, Listen, Knowledge, Creativity, Problem-Solving, Challenge Assumptions Scrappy – Self-starter, Committed, Enthusiastic, Initiative, Hard-Working   Qualifications: Core Focus *Operates digital equipment and machinery used for processes that flows to multiple departments and task areas.  Has several roles that are highly skilled and require or the company will sponsor certification training.  *May do setups, adjustments and cleanups.  *At higher levels may include equipment with multiple inline processes.  *Operates equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines. *Reads and interprets work orders, blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. *Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, within quality guidelines and in a timely fashion. *May have to complete formal training in area of specialty with no to minimal prior experience in the field or in a related area. *Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. *Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. *Previous experience running digital equipment is highly preferred but not required.   Types of equipment that the person will be trained to run are HP Indigo 12000, Xerox Versant, Xerox Iridesse, Konica Accurio Press. Responsibilities Preflight and prepare files for printing utilizing industry specific software. Troubleshoot files for possible issues during the print process Operate and maintain digital printing equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Work with operators of downstream processes to ensure quality product. Is mechanically inclined – has experience running some type of digital or electronic equipment.  Requirements Basic mathematical skills i.e. add, subtract, multiply, divide Able to lift up to 50lb with assistance. Familiarity with Windows based software. Read and interpret work orders Good mechanical aptitude Great communication with other team members Work effectively under time constraints. Is a person that is responsible for their own performance and output.  Has a good attendance track record and is very reliable. Position Details Full Time with benefits. 2:00pm-9:00 Monday through Friday. $18-$22, plus a $1 2nd shift differential – Depending on previous experience or relatable experience. Helpful Skills (list out skills that are necessary for the job – things they will do each day) Able to learn and interpret information from visual cues for troubleshooting purposes. An understanding of process color printing and color theory.
