Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Baton Rouge Corporate Office - Baton Rouge, LA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, This position will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs. This position will work directly under the supervision of a Project Manager.  Roles & Responsibilities Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Uses advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments. Prepares or reviews scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments. Prepares or reviews complete project documents. Formulates and solves problems. Assists with plan preparation, quantity and cost estimating for various infrastructure projects such as potable water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection and treatment systems, drainage, and other public infrastructure elements. Works in a team environment to deliver a range of civil design projects Understands and adheres to assigned phase and task schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of project. Attends project meetings and assists in presenting specific aspects of engineering assignments. Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience as a Project Design Engineer. Public Works experience preferred. Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university. Current Engineer Intern License preferred. Strong technical background. Proficiency with Civil 3D preferred.
