We are looking for a caring and motivated individual to fill a Paraprofessional for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing position in Springville. The paraprofessional assists a classroom instructor and nurses in working with deaf/hard-of-hearing students, who may have additional disabilities. *This position is only for the 26-27 school year* Roles and Responsibilities As a Paraprofessional, you will: Work under the direction of a Teacher of the Deaf to support instruction, prepare instructional materials, and provide individual or small-group assistance to students. Communicate with the Teacher of the Deaf regarding student performance, progress, behavior, and support needs. Provide personal care assistance to students as needed, including toileting, diapering, tube feeding, changing clothing, and other activities of daily living. Assist with behavior supports and interventions under the direction of the teacher or other designated staff. Support student motivation, participation, skill development, and achievement in academic, communication, functional, and daily living areas. Assist with routine school activities and supervision, including bus duty, recess, lunch, bathroom assistance, transitions, and other assigned student-support responsibilities. Provide direct classroom support by working collaboratively with teachers and students. Maintain accurate records, logs, and other required documentation related to student services and assigned responsibilities. Prepare instructional materials, teaching aids, adaptive materials, and other resources used to support student learning. Perform other related duties as assigned in support of student needs and the educational program.
