Directs institutional housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions of hotel rooms and public areas. • Establish standards and procedures for housekeeping employees. • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. • Comprehends and practices the Horseshoe standards during inspections. • Attends all required training classes and implement his/her gained knowledge in his/her job. • Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the assigned rooms and public areas. • Submits to management recommendations for maintenance related issues. • Periodically inventories supplies and equipment. • Checks on the equipment’s working condition. • Trains new employees based on the department’s standards. • Completes and discusses evaluations with team members. • Takes full responsibility to the daily assigned area (reassign if it is necessary during the day). • Addresses in a professional manner any guest and employee related complaints. • Resolve guest and employee related problems. • Counsels and coaches team members on work related issues; issuing progressive discipline when necessary. • Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines. • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager. • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working in assigned areas. • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine, and photocopier. • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
