Guest Service Agent Select-Service Marriott-Branded Hotel – Waterford, CT Compensation: $18 – $20 per hour Opportunity: Guest Service Agent Provide a friendly, professional, and efficient guest experience by greeting, registering, and assisting guests in accordance with hotel and brand standards, sustainability practices, and our values. Your Growth Path Front Desk Supervisor or Sales Coordinator → Front Office Manager or Sales Manager Your Focus • Greet guests immediately upon arrival and offer assistance with their needs. • Register guests and assign hotel rooms. • Establish and verify methods of payment and credit authorization. • Make and confirm guest reservations. • Prepare guest bills, collect payments, and make change. • Send and receive messages using the telephone and property management system (PMS). • Respond to guest requests in a prompt and professional manner. • Receive and resolve guest concerns, escalating to a supervisor when appropriate. • Secure guest valuables in the hotel safe or safe-deposit boxes when in-room safes are not available. • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including balancing accounts and assisting with audits. • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and actively work to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction. • Practice safe work habits, use required safety equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards. • Assist in the breakfast area and help guests with luggage when staffing support is needed or during peak periods. • Consistently focus on delivering overall guest satisfaction. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. Your Background and Skills • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous customer service experience or equivalent training required. • Experience with property management systems (PMS) preferred. • Schedule may vary and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. • Position requires standing for extended periods and may involve walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
