The Day to Day: In the Civil Engineering Intern role, you will support the Plant Engineering and Facilities team by updating critical facility drawings and organizing compliance documentation. This internship will provide hands-on experience with AutoCAD, document control, facility planning, and regulatory audit preparation in a manufacturing environment. • Update shell drawings for core facility buildings using AutoCAD. • Review and revise building egress plans to reflect current facility layouts. • Update underground utility drawings for future planning, research, and compliance activities. • Organize engineering drawings, records, and technical documents for efficient retrieval. • Assist with developing and maintaining a structured compliance filing system. • Compile documentation related to fire-suppression systems, fuel-island testing, pressure-vessel testing, and other facility compliance requirements. • Help ensure information is accurate, current, and readily available for audits involving Plant Engineering. • Collaborate with Plant Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, and other stakeholders to confirm drawing and documentation requirements. • Complete additional facility-engineering and document-control projects based on business needs.
