General plant labor, including operating machinery, forklift operation, lab sampling, grinder operation, rotator and slurry meat operation, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, grounds, and general housekeeping in all areas of the plant. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. • General plant labor. • Utilize and operate a forklift • Utilize lab equipment to take samples and perform tests on products • Temperature monitoring of product and rotator operation • Fresh meat sampling/Frozen meat sampling • Raw product unloading • Finished product loading • Plate Freezer Operation • Inventory counts • Stretch Wrapper Operation • Pressure Washer Operation • Housekeeping, hosing down floors, moping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc. • Shovel and clean up spills in the plant. • Keep barrels emptied of trash and products. • Clean equipment from top to bottom. • Help unstop screw conveyors. • Cut plastic and product off of screw. • Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains. • Paint as directed. • Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications • Must be 18 years of age • High School diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications • Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred. • Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment preferred. • Works well with other in a team environment • Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
