Alexandria Motors is looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our dealership team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or dealership office background who is ready to take the next step in their career. This is not a traditional receptionist or front-desk position. You’ll work closely with our Controller and office team to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the dealership. Compensation & Benefits • Up to $25 per hour, based on experience • Medical insurance • Dental and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match • Paid time off • Paid training • Employee discounts on vehicles, parts, and service • Career growth and advancement opportunities • Supportive, team-oriented work environment What You’ll Do • Assist the Controller with daily dealership accounting functions • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable • Assist with invoices, payments, and account reconciliations • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation • Assist with bank and general ledger reconciliations • Process and organize dealership accounting paperwork • Maintain vendor accounts and help resolve discrepancies • Assist with month-end accounting processes • Support other accounting and administrative functions as needed • Work with dealership management and departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information What We’re Looking For • Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or office accounting experience preferred • Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus, but not required • Accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience preferred • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Comfortable working with numbers and financial records • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to handle confidential information professionally • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems • Ability to learn dealership accounting software and processes • Dependable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team Candidates with previous experience as an Accounting Assistant, Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeper, Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Dealership Office Administrator, Office Manager, or Assistant Controller are encouraged to apply.
