Job Summary The Manual Grind Machinist at Triumph Geared Solutions - Macomb is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of Manual grind machines in the Grind Department. The Manual Grind Machinist must be able to produce high-quality products according to Triumph Gear Systems Grind department operations manual. Duties/Responsibilities • Clock in & out of appropriate job operations • Read, interpret, and produce machined dimensions from information on engineering drawings • Adhere to job plans per job travelers • Set up multiple types of jobs with fixtures • Operate Manual ID / OD / Surface grind, Lap, and associated machines • Basic Maintenance of Manual Grinders • Use precision measurement equipment to ensure first piece and production quality • Install and maintain grinding wheels • Adhere to directions and instructions of team leader • Other duties as assigned.
