Role Purpose
Bajaj Auto is looking for a commercially minded, culturally fluent leader to own the European business end-to-end — sales performance, dealer network health, and brand positioning across the region's most important premium motorcycle markets. This is a mid to senior, hands-on regional leadership role for someone equally comfortable in a dealer showroom in Barcelona, a distributor negotiation in Milan, or a brand strategy session in Paris — someone who treats each market's cultural and commercial differences as a lever, not a complication.
Key Responsibilities
International Sales Strategy & Market Development
• Develop and execute the sales strategy for Europe, with Spain, France and Italy as core markets.
• Identify new market opportunities and drive business growth across assigned territories.
• Build market-specific plans grounded in customer behaviour, product positioning competitive dynamics and regional nuances.
Agency & Distributor Business Guidance
• Manage and direct regional agencies for PR, brand and activations, ensuring consistent execution against brand strategy.
• Guide distributors across Western and Southern Europe on business process and operating standards and collaborate with them on growth planning.
Dealer & Partner Management
• Build and manage relationships with dealers, distributors and business partners across the region.
• Drive dealer performance through structured engagement, joint sales planning and market activation.
• Ensure dealer and partner activity stays aligned with brand standards and the intended customer experience.
Brand Positioning & Market Understanding
• Partner closely with brand and marketing teams to reinforce premium positioning across markets.
• Understand rider motivations and lifestyle segments, which differ meaningfully between Southern and Western Europe.
• Translate brand philosophy into market-specific sales opportunities, including differentiated propositions such as touring versus travel use cases.
Competitive & Market Intelligence
• Track competitor activity, pricing strategy, customer trends and market developments across territories.
• Turn intelligence into actionable input for product positioning and sales execution.
Customer & Community Engagement
• Build a deeper understanding of premium motorcycle riders and enthusiast communities in each market.
• Support initiatives — rides, events, ambassador programmes — that build brand affinity and loyalty.
Performance Management & Reporting
• Own sales performance, market share, dealer productivity and business KPIs for the region.
• Report regularly to global leadership with clear, data-backed insight.
• Drive continuous improvement based on market feedback and performance data.
Key Competencies
Technical / Functional
• Strong understanding of brand management and digital marketing.
• Ability to shape and execute brand positioning strategy, including differentiating consumer experiences
• Good analytical skills
• Ability to read market nuances across countries and adapt sales strategy accordingly.
• Strong commercial acumen, with a track record in sales growth, market expansion and customer insight.
• Understanding of premium customer behaviour and lifestyle segments.
Qualifications, Experience & Practical Requirements
• 8–12 years of relevant experience with mix over any two Sales, Brand, digital marketing, Channel development, CXP
• Cross-functional experience across Product Planning, Marketing and Sales is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or a related field with MBA or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
