In this role, you will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to deliver exceptional care to patients with a variety of urologic conditions. • Shift: 1st • Schedule: 8a-5p, occasional Saturday hours • Hours per week: 40 hours per week • Benefits Status: Benefits Eligible • Department: Beloit Clinic Urology This Registered Nurse Clinic in Urology will provide nursing care and perform procedures as necessary for patient care. The Registered Nurse Clinic in Urology will: • Assist providers with office procedures and deliver appropriate nursing care according to patient needs and clinical protocols. • Perform patient glucose monitoring and upload data from glucose meters, insulin pumps, and other diabetes management devices. • Demonstrate proficiency in navigating and utilizing electronic health records (EHRs) and other clinical software applications accurately and efficiently. • Manage incoming telephone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and coordinate communication with providers and staff. • Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records in accordance with established policies and procedures. • Exercise sound clinical judgment and professional communication while addressing patient needs and concerns. • Ensures appropriate and adequate supplies are on hand • Appropriately assesses basic physical psychological and social needs of patients and their families • Provides patient and family education appropriately • Strictly adheres to infection control procedures including body substance isolation and bloodborne pathogen precautions • Ensures patient safety while handling, transporting, and providing medications to patients • Protect patients from various hazards, falls, diseases exposures, etc. • Participates in quality assurance activities initiates and maintains accurate electronic and/or paper medical records • Assists with completing patient paperwork including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, etc. Job Requirements: • Graduate of accredited school of nursing • ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable. • State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required. (If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date). • Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire. • Prior experience working with electronic medical records and experience in Urology preferred.
