Accounting Assistant Floater (Grain Operations) Location: Wesley, IA Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience Position Overview The Accounting Assistant Floater supports daily office and grain operations, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, strong customer service, and efficient workflow across responsibilities. Work Schedule • Standard Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM • Seasonal Hours: Monday - Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Primary Responsibilities Office and Accounting Duties: • Provide customer service • Answer and direct phone calls • Maintain grain records • Perform scale operations • Manage office supply inventory • Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned Grain Operations: • Provide customer service related to grain transactions • Buy grain • Issue grain checks • Issue grain contracts • Issue grain warehouse receipts • Perform daily grain position reconciliation • Quote grain prices • Operate scale for incoming and outgoing grain • Perform grain grading Qualifications and Skills • Proficiency in general computer applications required • Willingness to learn Gold-Eagle Accounting system and grain database • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access preferred • General bookkeeping knowledge and skills required • Basic knowledge of grain quality requirements is helpful • Strong attention to detail • Willingness to learn and adapt • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed Additional Requirements • Ability to travel to Gold-Eagle locations as needed • Travel will be conducted using a company vehicle
