This onsite, full-time position contributes to reliable service through hands-on network support and documentation. Key responsibilities include assisting with administration and routine maintenance of fiber optic, wired, and wireless networks; supporting operation of the Citywide private/public FTTH network; cutting, splicing, terminating, and troubleshooting fiber; installing cable lines underground and on poles; verifying device connectivity; running and labeling fiber/network cabling and ports using approved tools; tracking and resolving issues through the work order system; and following City installation standards and data/network security requirements. On-call support after hours may be assigned.
