## Standard Job Description Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control is looking for an Associate Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead the Tooling Design team (≈10 engineers). The team uses Creo to design and develop the special tooling—assembly fixtures, drill jigs, mill fixtures, etc.—required to manufacture missiles and missile‑launching systems. Core Responsibilities * Lead the tooling team to deliver high‑quality fixtures that meet aggressive program and production schedules. * Drive continuous‑improvement of tooling processes using data‑driven analysis, lean principles, and industry best‑practice adoption. * Provide technical guidance to tool designers * Coordinate cross‑functional solutions between Production Operations, Program Engineering, and other stakeholders to resolve tooling challenges. * Analyze and resolve programmatic issues, ranging from routine changes to complex, high‑risk problems. * Lead investigations into design, producibility, and assembly challenges; develop corrective action plans and verify implementation. * Partner with Global Supply Chain to align procurement with tooling requirements and delivery dates. * Maintain transparent communication of key milestones, risks, and status updates to senior leadership and program stakeholders. ## Basic Qualifications * Experience leading teams * Expereicnce working with special tooling (assembly fixtures, drill jigs, mill fixtures, etc.) * Data and process-driven mindset * Desire to drive innovation and collaboration * Ability to work with cross-functional teams * Knowledge of manufacturing * Knowledge of Cause and Corrective Action * Excellent oral and written communication ## Desired Skills * Final Secret Clearance * SAP experience * Proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., Creo, Solidworks, Catia) * Proficiency with GD&T * Mechanical Design Experience (Tooling or Engineering hardware) * Experience with PLM/ERP systems (e.g., Windchill, SAP) * Knowledge of NC Programming * Knowledge of QA processes * Lean six sigma training, i.e., Green Belt or Black Belt certified Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
