Corrosion is our enemy and safety is our goal. To accomplish that goal, we’ve come to understand why and how corrosion happens. And we never stop finding new and better ways to serve those needs. As a key ambassador for the organization, this role builds strategic relationships with fire protection engineers, industry associations, technical committees, and other influential stakeholders to strengthen ECS's visibility and reputation across the industry. This position leads market development initiatives that drive awareness and adoption of ECS solutions, specifications, and technical expertise. Working closely with sales, marketing, and business leadership, the Market Development & Industry Relations Manager serves as a trusted voice within the industry, identifies opportunities to influence standards and best practices, and helps position ECS as a recognized thought leader in corrosion control and fire protection. What You'll Do Serve as a primary ECS representative within the fire protection engineering community. Monitor industry trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities, translating insights into actionable business recommendations. Participate in industry organizations, technical committees, and professional associations to strengthen ECS's industry presence and influence. Support the development of technical content, presentations, and market-facing resources that drive customer engagement and business growth. Track and report on market development activities, relationship-building efforts, and strategic outcomes. Monitor changes to fire protection standards and codes and help identify opportunities that support ECS's business objectives. Qualifications: What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 7+ years of experience in fire protection, engineering consulting, building systems, construction, or a related industry. Strong presentation, communication, and public speaking skills with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive initiatives through relationship-building and technical credibility. Experience representing an organization at industry events, conferences, customer meetings, and professional associations. Strong business acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and contribute to commercial growth strategies. Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities independently. Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license. Degree specifically in Fire Protection Engineering. Experience working with fire protection systems, corrosion mitigation technologies, water-based fire protection systems, or related building infrastructure solutions.
