• Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education. • Must have a thorough understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and, expanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialties. • Backgrounds in Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace desired • Prior management experience leading a team in an engineering or manufacturing setting desired. • Experience and knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings with emphasis on composite lamination and airframe integration. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication with an emphasis in technical presentation. • Experienced in aircraft development and composite manufacturing. • Experience with LEAN manufacturing methodologies desired. • Working knowledge of GD&T ANSI Y-14.5M. • Experience using CREO Parametric/NX or similar CAD software. • Basic project management knowledge • Able to work extended hours as required. • Able to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity. • Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required. • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information. • Ability obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance required.
