What You'll Do The Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary areas throughout the facility using established Environmental Services procedures. Primary responsibilities include: Perform routine cleaning using the 7-step cleaning procedure Clean patient rooms, including isolation and discharge cleaning Clean and disinfect assigned areas according to facility procedures Handle and remove trash, biohazardous waste, and sharps containers according to established safety procedures Replenish supplies such as paper products, soap, towels, batteries, and hand sanitizer Perform light cleaning and maintenance duties, including cleaning inside light fixture covers and air-conditioning vents Properly secure and maintain the Environmental Services cleaning cart Use wet-floor signs and other safety equipment appropriately Follow standard precautions and established infection-control and safety procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Schedule PRN - As Needed 3 Days Per Week 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Qualifications: What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required 1–2 years of previous housekeeping experience Previous healthcare or Environmental Services experience is a plus Ability to follow established cleaning and safety procedures Strong attention to detail Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment Make a Difference at MSCC A clean and safe environment is an important part of quality care.
