As an Outside Machinist, you will: * Perform a variety of skilled mechanical duties involving deck machinery, engine room work, general dock, rudders, shafting, propeller work, and testing * Use knowledge of equipment operation for assembly, installation and testing * Perform valve and pump repair and overhaul * Repair ship components using blueprints, sketches and sample parts * Work with rudders, shafts, propellers and deck machinery * Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery
