Our North American expansion includes investments in new facilities, production lines, and manufacturing equipment. We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager – Process to help deliver these projects and develop the equipment standards that support our continued growth. Learn more at america.bridor.com. About the Role This position manages manufacturing process-equipment projects from scope development and detailed design coordination through installation, commissioning, startup, and handover to plant teams. As Bridor’s owner representative, you will coordinate equipment suppliers, external engineering partners, installation contractors, and internal stakeholders while managing schedules, budgets, risks, and technical requirements. External engineering partners perform much of the detailed engineering. You will guide and review their work to ensure equipment and production-line designs meet Bridor’s operational needs and design standards. This is a corporate Capital Projects position combining engineering depth with hands-on project management. You will be expected to challenge designs, specifications, and supplier proposals constructively, clarify decisions, and retain accountability for delivery while making effective use of external technical resources. Projects include equipment for greenfield food manufacturing facilities, brownfield expansions within operating plants, and new production-line installations. Success requires sound engineering judgment, practical problem-solving, and consistent follow-through across multiple teams. The role also contributes to North American process-equipment standards, helping Bridor apply lessons learned and improve the reliability, maintainability, and performance of future investments. Location and Travel Requirements Candidates located near Salt Lake City, Philadelphia, or Dallas are preferred initially. Relocation to the Dallas/Lancaster, Texas area is required during the first year of Lancaster site construction, currently expected in 2028. The timing will follow the construction schedule and business needs. Travel is approximately 50%, increasing to approximately 75% during peak project execution. Travel includes visits to manufacturing sites, project locations, and equipment suppliers, with occasional international trips. During active projects, this generally means approximately two weeks per month at project locations, potentially increasing to three weeks per month at peak. Frequency and duration will vary by project phase and installation or commissioning requirements. Key Responsibilities • Lead process-equipment projects from scope development and detailed design coordination through installation, commissioning, startup, and handover • Develop and maintain project schedules, budget tracking, critical milestones, and action plans • Lead equipment-project meetings, document decisions, assign action owners, and follow commitments through completion • Manage competing equipment workstreams and, when required, support two projects concurrently while clarifying priorities and resource needs • Identify project risks, monitor costs, manage scope changes, and communicate issues requiring decisions • Coordinate equipment suppliers, engineering partners, installation contractors, and internal stakeholders; establish clear responsibilities and follow up on commitments • Review and constructively challenge equipment specifications, layouts, technical drawings, and supplier proposals against production requirements and Bridor standards; resolve technical gaps with the responsible partners • Support procurement through technical evaluations, purchasing-scope clarification, and supplier coordination • Develop and maintain North American process-equipment design standards, specifications, and technical documentation • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Food Safety, and Sanitation to address equipment performance, hygienic design, cleaning access, and maintainability • Coordinate equipment interfaces with building, construction, and utilities teams to resolve requirements and dependencies before installation • Manage installation readiness, coordinate testing and commissioning, track acceptance criteria, and resolve outstanding issues before handover • Provide plant teams with complete drawings, equipment manuals, specifications, and project documentation • Apply lessons learned to improve future equipment projects and standards Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline • 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing equipment, process engineering, and capital projects • Demonstrated significant capital-project experience, including management of at least one manufacturing equipment or production-line project valued at $2 million or more through its full lifecycle: scope writing, design review and approval coordination, installation supervision, and successful handover to Operations • Experience delivering manufacturing equipment projects involving suppliers, technical partners, and internal teams • Ability to interpret and evaluate engineering drawings, equipment layouts, and technical specifications • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or comparable drawing tools and project management software • Ability to manage schedules, monitor costs, identify risks, and meet project commitments • Strong communication, organization, and practical problem-solving skills • Demonstrated ownership, adaptability, and accountability for project results • Demonstrated hands-on project-management capability, including vendor coordination, field follow-up, and delivery accountability • Ability to coordinate technical partners and vendors without direct supervisory authority and manage competing direction in a matrix environment • Willingness and ability to meet the travel requirements and relocate to the Dallas/Lancaster area as described above Preferred Qualifications • Full lifecycle delivery of capital projects valued at approximately $5 million or more; experience with larger projects is an additional asset • Process-equipment project experience in food manufacturing greenfield facilities or brownfield expansions • Food, beverage, or bakery manufacturing experience • Experience representing a manufacturing owner during capital-project delivery, with accountability for business outcomes, costs, schedules, and equipment performance • Knowledge of hygienic equipment design, food safety, HACCP principles, and sanitation requirements • Experience with production-line installation, startup, and commissioning • Experience coordinating projects across multiple manufacturing sites or engineering disciplines Relevant candidates from manufacturing companies, engineering consulting firms, equipment suppliers, and design-build organizations are encouraged to apply.
