Full description

Sales Development Representative Location: New York City | In-office The Mission “Leading healthcare into the agentic era.” Every day, patients call their clinic to schedule an appointment, ask a question, or request a prescription refill. Behind each conversation is a busy healthcare team coordinating people, information, and systems. Taxo builds Voice AI agents that take on this administrative work. Our agents connect with EHR and practice management systems to help teams handle patient intake, complex scheduling, and refill requests, with reliable workflows and clear handoffs to people. The Opportunity to Start Customer Conversations As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll help specialty clinics and healthcare groups take the first step toward working with Taxo. You’ll own prospect research, outreach, initial qualification, and meeting scheduling for assigned accounts and leads. Your work will create well-qualified sales conversations, with clear context for the colleague taking each opportunity through evaluation and closing. What You’ll Do • Research the Right Accounts: Identify clinics and healthcare groups that fit our target customer profile. Find relevant contacts, understand their operations, and keep account information accurate. • Start Useful Conversations: Reach prospects through thoughtful calls, email, and professional networks. Follow up on assigned inbound, event, and partner leads with messages that connect Taxo’s capabilities to a relevant operational need. • Qualify Interest and Fit: Learn about the prospect’s workflow, pain points, relevant stakeholders, and timing. Apply agreed qualification criteria and distinguish a real opportunity from interest that needs more time. • Book Meetings and Make Clear Handoffs: Schedule qualified discovery meetings, confirm attendance, and share concise notes on the prospect’s needs, context, and next steps. Coordinate with the receiving seller so the customer does not have to start over. • Keep Outreach Organized: Maintain reliable CRM records, follow-up tasks, and account ownership. Respect contact preferences and handle information carefully in a healthcare environment. • Improve the Outreach Process: Test messages and sequences, share objections and customer feedback, and track responses, meetings held, accepted opportunities, and the quality of sourced pipeline. Use coaching and results to improve your approach. Who You Are • The Early Sales Professional: 6+ months in sales, business development, or customer-facing work. You’re comfortable initiating conversations and can show how you follow through on goals. • The Clear Communicator: You write concise messages, ask useful questions, listen carefully, and explain a technical product in language a busy healthcare operator can understand. • The Organized Prospector: You can research accounts, manage a queue of outreach and follow-ups, and keep accurate records without losing the personal context behind each conversation. • The Curious Learner: You want to understand clinic operations and how software buying decisions happen. You take feedback well, try new approaches, and stay thoughtful when prospects say no. • Bonus: Experience with a CRM or sales engagement tools, healthcare or B2B software, cold calling, or an early-stage startup. Why Taxo Healthcare teams should be able to spend more time on patients and less time on administration. Help us build the products and company that make that possible. • 🎯 Clear Ownership: Own the first stage of the customer journey and see how your work contributes to qualified pipeline. • 🤝 Close Collaboration: Learn from commercial leadership and work closely with the people selling, building, and implementing the product. • 🏥 A Mission with Purpose: Help healthcare organizations discover a practical way to reduce administrative work. Compensation On-target earnings: $100,000–$110,000 USD annually Base salary: $60,000–$70,000 USD annually Equity offered Benefits: Health coverage How We Work Taxo is a small, fast, high-conviction team. We care deeply about the problem, move with urgency, and take ownership of the work. We collaborate closely, make practical decisions, and keep improving through what we learn from customers. If you enjoy starting conversations, learning about customers, and turning curiosity into qualified opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
