Full description
Great hospitality doesn’t happen behind a desk. It happens on the floor, in the dining room, and in every guest interaction.
Sanctuary Hotel, located in the heart of Times Square, is looking for an energetic, experienced Director of Food & Beverage who knows how to bring great food, exceptional service, and unforgettable guest experiences together.
With exciting dining destinations including Haven Rooftop, Sushi Lab, and Chemistry Room, we’re looking for someone who loves the energy of New York City hospitality and knows how to keep multiple operations running at their best.
We’re not looking for someone who simply oversees the operation. We want a leader who’s in the middle of the action, inspires their team, connects with guests, and knows how to make the numbers work.
What you will be doing
• Lead the daily operations of our restaurants, rooftop dining, and beverage outlets.
• Be a visible, hands-on leader who enjoys being on the floor and engaging with guests and employees.
• Create memorable guest experiences that keep people coming back.
• Build, motivate, and develop talented management and service teams.
• Take ownership of budgets, P&L performance, labor costs, inventory, and profitability.
• Partner with our culinary teams to deliver exciting menus, exceptional quality, and consistent execution.
• Find creative ways to increase revenue, improve efficiency, and elevate the overall guest experience.
• Oversee beverage programs, purchasing, vendor relationships, and cost controls.
• Maintain high standards for service, presentation, cleanliness, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with hotel leadership and ownership to achieve business goals.
• Keep operations running smoothly, even when the restaurant is packed and the energy is high.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor regulations.
What you bring to the table
• At least 5 years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience in upscale hospitality.
• Experience overseeing multiple restaurants, bars, or hotel food and beverage outlets.
• A strong understanding of upscale dining, rooftop venues, nightlife, and high-volume operations.
• Solid financial skills, including P&L management, budgeting, labor, and cost controls.
• A leadership style that’s hands-on, approachable, and focused on results.
• The ability to build great teams, hold people accountable, and create a positive work environment.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with senior leadership and ownership.
• Excellent judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think on your feet.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and an eye for the details that make an experience special.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is a plus.
What we offer
• Competitive salary of $120,000–$150,000 annually.
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
• Retirement savings plan with company match.
• Paid time off and holidays.
• The opportunity to lead some of Times Square’s most exciting dining and nightlife venues.
• A fast-paced environment where your ideas, leadership, and results make a real impact.
