Job Summary Applications are invited for one postdoctoral researcher position at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) as part of a collaborative research project involving FGCU, the University of Florida (UF), and Florida State University (FSU). The project integrates field experiments, watershed modeling, and artificial intelligence to investigate the effects of agricultural nutrient reduction on downstream water quality and harmful algal blooms. The overall project includes complementary research positions at FGCU, UF, and FSU. FGCU is recruiting for the following position: Job Description Postdoctoral Researcher – Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers, FL Research will focus on lysimeter experiments, field hydrology, nutrient and water-quality monitoring, and integration of field observations with watershed and machine learning analyses. Field activities will primarily occur in Immokalee, Florida. Applicants should have a strong background in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Science, Soil Science, Scientific Computing, Data Science, or a related field. Strong quantitative, programming, or scientific communication skills are desirable. Postdoctoral applicants must have a PhD by the start of the appointment. PhD Research Assistant – Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL • Research will focus on watershed modeling, uncertainty and scenario analysis, and machine learning modeling to evaluate the effects of agricultural nutrient reduction on downstream water quality and harmful algal bloom risk.
