Overview Dispatcher Overview: • Part Time remote role with potential for additonal hours/shifts during the week As a Dispatcher, you are in the most dynamic role within the industry. You are the heartbeat of the company and interact with all functions (call center, customers, technicians, and management) in support of your primary role: ensure calls are prioritized according to urgency and importance and the right technician is sent. You will also be the primary communication conduit and trusted advisor for technicians in the field - while they are responding to calls, you will provide updates on customers, service call requests, traffic, obstacles, and other requirements as necessary. Responsibilities: • Assign service calls to technicians using sound judgment to make quick decisions based on job complexity, technician ability, and location • Work closely with management to balance the workload for technicians • Keep track of the technicians’ schedules and dynamically adjust as conditions change over the course of the day • Interact with technicians regularly and act as a coach/cheerleader to keep them motivated • Respond to special requests from customers related to jobs performed by a technician • Follow up on all pending/recommended work • Contact customers with parts pending and the status of parts Core Competencies: • Decisive; comfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations • Great communicator; Has strong verbal and written communication skills • Team player; enjoys working with various departments and stakeholders • Adaptable; enjoys operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Digitally agile; Easily navigates through multiple software systems and windows What do you need? • Nights & Weekend availability a MUST • Prior Dispatcher experience, preferably within the home-service industry (HVAC, Plumbing, Electric) • Strong communication skills - written & verbal • Able to multi-task, work independently, & strong organizational skills • Familiarity with greater Marietta area
