Overview: Responsible for completing the cleaning and sanitation of production machinery, process equipment, and buildings in adherence to the strictest standards of health, safety and hygiene. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday | 7:00pm - 5:30am Responsibilities: • Ensure that all cleaning schedules and tasks are completed on time and maintained according to company standard operating procedures. • Use only appropriately approved chemicals safely to clean equipment • Ensure that all cleaning and sanitization equipment is used correctly and only on designated areas. • Cleaning work to encompass sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing machinery and filling equipment, cleaning of conveyors, warmers, surface areas and other areas deemed appropriate. • Pest-control procedures. • Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions. • Work with management and production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommend changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product. • Complete required paperwork and reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies. Routes reports to designated plant personnel. • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. • The Sanitation Operator will follow the facilities food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results. Job Requirements: • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong analytical skills • Ability to read, write and keep records • Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word. • Ability to work weekends and off-production hours. Physical Requirements: • Ability to “be on your feet” from beginning to end of shift • Able to lift materials up to 50 pounds.
