About HireRight HireRight is a global background screening and workforce solutions provider operating in more than 200 countries and territories. Our Finance Systems team runs Oracle Cloud EPM Planning (PBCS), EDMCS and the integrations that feed them. This setup supports planning, forecasting and reporting across the company. Overview We're looking for an Oracle Planning developer who writes calc scripts and Groovy rules well, not just someone who can maintain what's already built. You'll own the logic behind our planning applications. That means designing new rules, rewriting slow ones and solving problems that don't have a ready-made answer. If you've ever cut a calc that took 20 minutes down to under one, this role is for you. The same goes if you've built Groovy rules that only process what a user changed, or debugged an Essbase block issue nobody else could find. Responsibilities • Design, write and tune Essbase calc scripts (FIX statements, block creation, sparse/dense design, aggregation, allocations, currency logic) • Build Groovy business rules for dynamic calcs, data validation, focused calcs on edited cells, data maps/Smart Push, REST calls and admin automation • Choose the right tool for each job: calc script, Groovy, member formula or integration • Improve rule and form performance and explain the before and after • Build and maintain member formulas, webforms and Smart View reports • Manage dimensions and hierarchies in Planning and EDMCS • Automate processes with EPM Automate and REST APIs • Work directly with FP&A and Accounting to turn business requirements into working solutions • Act as a technical lead and set standards for how rules are written, tested and documented Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Hyperion/EPM Planning experience, including Cloud EPM (PBCS/EPBCS) • Strong, hands-on experience writing complex calc scripts from scratch and a solid understanding of how Essbase handles blocks and performance • Strong, hands-on experience writing Groovy rules in Oracle EPM Cloud beyond basic templates • At least one full Planning implementation where you built the rules, not just supported them • Experience with Financials, Workforce or custom Planning applications • Working knowledge of EDMCS, Data Management/Data Integration, EPM Automate and REST APIs • Able to explain technical tradeoffs in plain terms to finance users Nice to Have • FCCS, Essbase BSO/ASO tuning, or experience integrating with D365 or Databricks • Oracle EPM certifications Why Join Us • Top-of-market pay for the right candidate.
