Software Test Lead Hyderabad / Vizag - Hybrid WFO Full Time UK Shift 3 PM IST - 12 AM IST 8+ years of Exp Job Summary: The Software Test Lead, under the supervision of a Software Test Manager, will lead test effort for project, including definition of project objectives and timeline; communication to team and stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Develop, maintain and execute system test strategy at the project level. • Develop and conduct system test plans for customer. • Ensure compliance with requirements and design documentation. • End-to-end system integration testing (physical hardware devices, backend database applications, and web-based frontend user interfaces). • Analyze and document defects, provide explanations of defects and their impacts. • Manage and report summary status of project defects. • Maintain and report on project punch lists. • Manage one or more System Test Personnel and drives their day-to-day activities. • Train test personnel and other stakeholders. • Identifies test resource and need dates. • Software testing of applications in the MS stack (C#, .NET, SQL Server, etc.). • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues. • Maintenance support • Coordination and tracking of releases and hotfixes. • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in computer related or other technical field from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Required Skills & Experience: • Excellent project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures. • 8+ years of Software test experience, experience in Tolling industry a plus. • Knowledge of Software test best practices and methodologies. • Knowledgeable of software testing methodologies and strategies for web applications. • Ability to display excellent customer service to meet the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers. • Strong writing skills - ability to convey information quickly and efficiently. • Detail oriented and a problem solver. • Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and collaboration skills. • Experience with Hardware testing preferred. • Proven experience writing test plans and test cases as well as conducting manual tests. • Direct experience as a lead tester for major application integration and/or major application product release. • Familiarity with C#, PERL, Linux. • Experience with SQL Queries. • Experience with communication tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Skype, etc. • Expert proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, OneNote, and Google Docs. • Experience testing for PCI/PII compliance. • Experience testing customer facing websites and payment processing. • Experience testing 3rd party interfaces (DMV lookup, money service providers, etc). • Experience with load/capacity testing. • Experience with test automation a plus. • Experience with measuring live system performance a plus.
