What we are looking for: We are searching for compassionate and caring individuals to work Part-time with the people that we support as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). What You’ll Do: Work directly with people with developmental disabilities assisting them with day to day living activities in Residential Settings. You will support individuals with activities in a home environment and in community settings including meal planning, grocery shopping, or household chores. This position may require you to transport individuals in company vehicles. Skills Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Personality Traits: Empathy. Patience. Understanding. Compassion. Adaptable. Respectful. Dependable. Sound Judgement. Requirements: Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid driver’s license, car and auto insurance. Must be able to pass all background checks. Experience: Must have some experience in working with people with developmental disabilities. Must understand how to handle behaviors. Pay: $17 an hour.
